Worship Minister

Position Summary
Responsible for the recruitment and development of teams to lead the corporate worship experiences of the church. Plan, integrate, and expand opportunities for musicians and other artists to use their skills and talents to draw people into a life changing encounter with God.
Essential Duties
• Build multiple teams of musicians, vocalists, and technicians.
• Participate as a member of the staff team to develop and implement the overall
direction of the church.
• Work closely with the Senior Minister to chart direction for sermon series and services.
• Lead the production team in brainstorming, scheduling, technical training, and
implementing the worship service.
• Pastor, coach, and lead all volunteers in the worship ministry.
• Collaborate with the Youth Ministry staff, students, and volunteers to recruit, train, and
lead music as a part of the Youth worship times.
• Oversee all graphics and video necessary to support the worship services.
• Oversee all production and creative elements of the church.
• Oversee the set-up and operation of the adult services including sound, lights and video.
• Ability to plan and budget for various worship ministry programs and needs.
• Creatively lead the congregation in worship.
Occasional Duties
• Enlist volunteers as needed to assist in planning and implementing special programs or productions that contribute to the overall direction of the church.
• As a ministry staff member, be available to visit members, participate or lead small groups, or other duties as necessary or requested.
Position Qualifications
To fulfill this position, the following qualifications and characteristics are necessary:

• A passion for serving Jesus Christ
• A love for Christ’s people and desire to help them grow in discipleship
• Possess the skills and heart necessary to be the lead worshipper for the congregation
• Be able to recruit and develop multiple teams of musicians, artists and technicians and
incorporate them into various worship opportunities
• Have strong leadership, managerial, and communication skills
• Have strong conflict resolution, team building, and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to agree to and abide by a Staff Covenant for guidance on attitudes and
behaviors
