December 2025 Update

We are humbled and excited to report we saw God MOVE in a big way! We heard many stories of families growing in their faith and taking steps of obedience through this process of prayer and seeking God’s will. By God's grace, we received 435 commitments that totaled, $8,841,758.36 committed over three years. We truly serve a BIG & MIGHTY God and with Him, we can do BIG & MIGHTY things for HIS glory and HIS Kingdom!

October 2025 Update

Pastor Ben, along with the leadership of Boones Creek Christian Church  has been prayerfully seeking God’s guidance on how to address the various space and parking challenges we face as God continues to bless our church and bring people through our doors. Just as our leaders did in 1850, 1952, and 2001, we are responding in faith to what God is doing by preparing to expand, build, and make room for more people to come to love Jesus and live like Jesus! For this reason, we are excited to announce the launch of our MOVE Stewardship Campaign this fall. We have three potential goals in this campaign. The first goal is set at an attainable $5 million. The second goal may take a little faith, set at $7 million. Our third goal of $9 million is attainable as well when we give generously with our finished goal in mind. After all, we serve a BIG & MIGHTY God and with Him, we can do BIG & MIGHTY things for HIS glory and HIS Kingdom!

Campaign Purpose

As Boones Creek Christian Church continues to faithfully preach God’s Word, lead people to Christ, and obey the great commission we want to make sure we have space for all people – children, students, and adults to come to love Jesus and live like Jesus for generations to come!

This building campaign will enable us to do so by accomplishing the following in two phases:

Phase 1:
Transforming the current gymnasium into a 1,200-seat worship center
Expanding the building to create a central entrance and connection point on Sundays
Adding on a new gymnasium for community and church related events/gatherings
Increasing our parking capacity by adding 237 additional stalls

Phase 2:
Repurposing the current worship center and surrounding classrooms to:
- Bring our Student Ministry across the street
- Add more Adult Sunday School Classrooms
- Add staff offices to the main building
- Adding 8,500 square feet of new building space for our growing children’s ministry
- Repurposing our current children’s wing for our growing pre-school ministry

A note from ben cole

Dear Church Family,

It is an exciting time to be part of Boones Creek Christian Church! The ministries of our church are a blessing not only to our congregation, but to our community and people all over the world. By God’s grace, our church continues to grow, and we are grateful that He continues to add to our number.

With this incredible growth, comes new challenges. Our worship center, adult classrooms, children’s wing, and student center are all nearing capacity. We are also experiencing increasing difficulties concerning the flow through our building and parking lot. What a blessing!

Over the past two years, our leadership has been prayerfully seeking God’s guidance on how to address these challenges. Just as our leaders did in 1850, 1952, and 2001, we are responding in faith to what God is doing by preparing to expand, build, and make room for more people to come to love Jesus and live like Jesus! For this reason, I am excited to announce the launch of our MOVE Stewardship Campaign.

The name MOVE reflects our prayer that God will move in each of our hearts to take steps of faith, generosity, and commitment. With His help, we believe this campaign will fund the expansion and repurposing of our facilities to meet the needs of our growing congregation.

Everyone is invited to prayerfully consider making a sacrificial three-year financial commitment above and beyond regular tithes and offerings. Through your faithful giving, we believe God will provide all that is needed to accomplish this vision.

We are deeply humbled by how God is blessing Boones Creek Christian Church, and we are excited about where He is leading us. My prayer is that you and your family will join us in asking God to move in our hearts and respond with obedience and faithfulness.

Love to you all,
Ben Cole

Frequently Asked Questions

What company will be doing the construction?
BurWil Construction will be the architectural designer and builder of the project. Steve Johnson is the main project manager there and a member of BCCC. Steve serves on the building committee and has served as an Elder at BCCC. The project is in good hands.
What will happen to the original church building, both long and short term?
The old church building currently houses the mission group (IDES) in the basement area. Also, several groups (AA, drug recovery, etc.) meet upstairs during the week. These programs will continue and some may be added
How will construction affect groups that use our facility?
When construction starts, we will not have access to a gym or kitchen until Phase 1 is completed. We will communicate with the affected groups.
How much will the total project cost (Phase 1 and 2)?
Phase One and Two are estimated to cost $16.5 million. Phase One will cost approximately $10 million, while Phase Two will cost approximately $6.5 million.

We believe that God has blessed, equipped, and prepared us for such a time as this! At the same time, this is not about us; this is about Jesus and the Holy Spirit’s work in us to lead more people to Him!
What type of seating will be in the new sanctuary?
We will be using chairs for the 800 floor seats in the sanctuary to allow for up to a 20% increase of seating capacity and versatility of the space. The 400 elevated seats in the back will be theater seating.
Will the look of the building change?
Yes. The front of the building nearest Boones Creek Road will change. The columns will be removed to present a more modern look for the building. The main entrance will now be on the ‘Cracker Barrel’ side of the building.
What's the timeline of the project?
Phase 1 will include gym, sanctuary, and Main Street (large gathering area). When we move into the new sanctuary, this will create space to be able to use the old sanctuary area for temporary expansion of the children’s area until Phase 2 is complete.

Phase 1 timeline — With final design, architectural drawings, permits, and a 10 Month construction period, we can expect to be in Phase 1 by Fall of 2027.

Phase 2 timeline — Can be completed in an additional 9 months. If we can do both phases back-to-back, the project can be fully completed in 2 years, 9 months.

During Phase 1 construction, the kitchen and upstairs classrooms will be unavailable. We will need to work out a plan for space and times for the affected classes. Another option may be to temporarily rent trailers to accommodate the situation. During the construction period, our key word will be ‘Flexibility.’

During Phase 2, we will need to move kids and adult classes to different areas as the work progresses. Burwil will work in different sections as much as possible to not upset our normal operation. We will need to work out a plan for space and times for the affected classes. Another option may be to temporarily rent trailers to accommodate the situation. During the construction period, our key word will be ‘Flexibility.’
Where will we eat on Wednesday nights during Phase 1 construction?
The scope of Wednesday night meals during construction will be decreased for a limited time. We are working on a solution.
During the construction period, our key word will be ‘Flexibility.’
Will the steeple remain on the church?
During the concept meetings last October, the designer shared with the group that out of the last 100 churches they had designed, only two had steeples. Please keep in mind, this building is for those who come after us. Having a steeple will not drive anyone away. Having a Cross on the front of the building will not drive anyone away. Our building team will be working with the design team from Burwil on the building aesthetics. There are several items to be worked out by the building team, this is one of those.
How many additional parking spaces will be added?
Phase 1 of the project will add an additional 237 paved spaces for parking in addition to our present 377 spaces. Also, we are contacting TCAT (the state school at the top of the hill) to work out a parking arrangement for the future and possibly use a shuttle to bring worshippers to the front door.
What will happen to the kitchen? Will we still continue to have large group meals?
A kitchen is included in the gym/café area. The size and scope of the kitchen is still being determined by our building committee with input from key players.
How will this campaign and project affect our commitment to missions?
BCCC total missions giving in 2025 will be 32% of the budget. The national average is 10%-15%.  With the additional building expense, our missions giving will decrease to 22% of our total budget. We are still well above the national average. During this building project, more funds will be directed to support our most local mission, BCCC growth of the congregation.
